Tranquility Pool on Display - EWU Creative Works Symposium

So I had an amazing opportunity to display one of my personal favorite works of art in my favorite local gallery! The EWU Student Research and Creative Works Symposium was a great opportunity for me to show the public what I have learned as a art student at EWU.

I thoroughly enjoyed being interviewed about my artwork! I did not expect to end up on the home page of the EWU page haha. Here is the video that tells you a little bit more about this piece of art.

Here is a video I took on my phone, sorry about the noise in the gallery, it really echoes in there! This artwork, Tranquility Pool, can be displayed unmounted and on the floor for viewers to look down into or it can be displayed on its metal stand where viewers may walk up to it and get lost as they watch it spin slowly.

Spray Paint and an Exacto-Knife

I have always loved street art and how each artist has such a definitive style in their work. When I have a can of spray paint, I enjoy making a stencil and stylizing a portrait!

Here is a super-speedy video of me painting my portrait of Mac Miller.

After the stencil comes off, the final piece is revealed! I was so happy with how the details in the tattoo turned out! :)

Decorating my Warrior Woman

I love painting portraits, if you cannot tell from my portfolio already :)

Here is a short video of me adding some lovely yellow flowers to my warrior woman, she ended up so decked out! I love how power she evokes from her decor and expression, she looks so badass!

And here is the finished piece:
